Kimberly & Tyler – La Vida

A combination of bold pops of color, classy yet casual elegance on the beach and cheerful Gerber daisies encompassed Kimberly and Tyler’s requests for their Bucerias wedding day.  This laid-back Canadian couple invited their closest family and friends and celebrated with an intimate oceanfront wedding!

Steffani & Ashaunte – Casa Garza Blanca

Details, details, details.  Steffani and Ashaunte’s day was full of them.  From the meaningful family photos surrounding them during their wedding ceremony to sparkling chandeliers suspended in the gardens, from the dinner tables named for shoe designers to the LA Lakers groom’s cake and surprise fireworks display.  This wedding was one to remember.

Davina + Daniel – China Blanca

This wedding was one of my all-time favorites.  And I’ll be really honest.  I feel guilty saying that; I feel a bit like a parent choosing a favorite child.  But Davina and Daniel, known to just about everyone as D + D, are brilliant wedding photographers based in Canada who have seen and done pretty much everything wedding.  They pushed us and challenged us to create a new, very non-traditional timeline for their event, a very different design concept and an overall new experience for our team, their guests and themselves.  And it could not have been more fabulous.

Bailey & Chad – Dreams PV

Bailey and Chad were one of those couples that we’ll just never ever forget.  The bride was stunning, radiant really.  The decor was lovely.  The day was brilliantly sunshine-y.  And because of an unexpected twist on wedding day, this couple’s true colors really showed through and demonstrated that they are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

Kara & Devon – Dreams Resort

Devon’s one request was to be able to surf the morning of his wedding.  Kara has a love of all lanterns and at the top of the list are star lanterns.  Relaxed, romantic and intimate was important.  On the beach was equally important.  They are a little bit Bohemian, a little bit rock and roll, a lot about family and friends.  The color palette of green, gray and purple blended perfectly with natural wood to create one of the most beautiful wedding atmospheres I have ever experienced.

Maggie & Nico – Casa Cosmos

Natural beauty.  Simple elegance.  Warm and Intimate.  These were the words Maggie and Nico used to describe their ideal destination wedding.  As we planned alongside them, it became very clear that their Midwestern roots had ingrained in them a love of nature and the outdoors, something that influenced the villa they chose as their venue and the overall design of the celebration.  They both wanted lots of natural wood, lots of white, very natural greenery and touches of coral.  Nico required floating lanterns.  The rest was up to us.

Monica & Chris – Guadalupe Church/Dreams Resort

Monica and Chris had just a few requests for their wedding . . . marry at the incredible Guadalupe Cathedral, incorporate elements in the reception to evoke the charm of Old World Mexico, include one of the beach lounge area/dance floors that so many people now recognize as our own, throw in a wrought iron chandelier here or there, understated on flowers, overdone on candles – oh, and of course a bold color palette of fuchsia and purple to represent their personal flair.

Previous Dazzling Weddings

The Dazzling Details team has worked planning and designing weddings in the Puerto Vallarta area since July of 2005.  We would have loved to feature all of our previous couples and weddings on our new website, but it was a task much larger than we could possibly have taken on!  Please do visit our previous blog to see some of our featured work from 2005-2010.  Congratulations to all the amazing couples we have worked with over the past six years.  This journey has simultaneously been a challenge and a blessing, and we hope it continues to be so in future years as well!
