Modern, romantic and simple. This was the vision that Lisa and Chris shared with us for their wedding day. And after deciding that the celebration should take place entirely on the beach, we got to work putting together an amazing celebration for their intimate group of family and friends! And modern, romantic and simple it was . . . not to mention over-the-top fun and filled with love and emotion!
The bridal party spent the day preparing for the festivities! The bride added a special locket touch to her bouquet in honor of her passed mom, and the groom and his gents looked dapper in their gray Converse!

And that evening, guests converged on the beach to watch the bride and groom say their vows! Chairs were draped with chiffon swirls in pale green, gray and white, and apothecary vases held smooth gray stones, orchids and curly willow branches – adding a modern touch to the sandy aisle. Soft white chiffon and orchid strings hung from the canopy and awaited the bride and groom who were all smiles and laughter throughout the entire ceremony, and as a surprise, biodegradable confetti was given to guests to toss over the bride and groom during the recessional!

Following the ceremony, the group took photos and then relaxed on the beach with cocktails and appetizers. The bride requested a swing photo station, so we constructed a beach swing set and set out props and a Polaroid with which guests preserved their messages for the bride and groom! Chic lounge areas were created with a cool beach feel on the warm afternoon!
As cocktail hour came to an end, guests directed themselves to a chalkboard seating chart to find their places at the dinner tables! Having such an intimate and small group of guests really allowed for some extra creativity in creating an alternate to traditional escort cards! Everyone thought the chalkboard chart was so much fun!
Small, square cafe-style tables were dressed with fitted gray linens, and place cards set beneath clear glass chargers. Simple modern centerpieces highlighted each table and added to the overall ambiance of simple elegance.
As darkness fell, candles were lit and lighting switched on to illuminate the beach area and create a romantic atmosphere for the rest of the evening! In lieu of wedding cake, the couple chose to offer individual key lime pies for dessert, and atop of the pie display, we set a small cake – with a personalized cake topper brought by the bride as a surprise to the groom – for the traditional cutting!
The first (very romantic) dance followed, and guests enjoyed candlelit lounge areas and dancing all night long!

And as guests left at the end of the night, as a small takeaway gift, we set out jars of Raspberry Chipotle Salsa as a nod to the bride and groom’s LOVE for raspberries and their wedding in Mexico!
Congratulations to this super-sweet couple! Their day on the beach was so full of special memories and unforgettable emotion!
